Sure Thing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NE1lrAV_Pbw

Okay, so I've liked this video for a long time but never shared it because I felt kind of embarrassed. The guy in the video used to be a friend of mine from college, and it's a bit embarrassing because we don't talk anymore. I love this piece, though! I think it's equal parts playful, sensual, and 'real' - if that makes sense. For me, it's a little snapshot of the ups and downs of a typical relationship.

P.S. I'm sad that I can't post Youtube videos directly to this blog - unlike Tumblr :/

Twitter

So I've had my Twitter account for over a year now and I must say that I like it! My relationship with Twitter has come a really long way since I oh-so-grudgingly signed up for my account. I thought, "WTH, who's great idea was THIS? Nobody is going to be interested." But, slowly and surely more and more people I knew started joining/following/RTing/@ing and it became a way for me to know what was going on with my friends even when they were thousands of miles away. Now, Twitter lets me feel connected to everyone that I do/don't communicate with on a regular basis. It essentially makes me interact with people regularly so that I always feel very up to date with the people that I follow. This is great for me since it's so low maintainence and quick. Even though I usually don't like things that get so much press/hype, Twitter is something that I really enjoy.

petit fours

So I asked my mom for a Kitchenaid stand mixer as a graduation present and she's still mulling the idea over. I've been itching to try dozens of recipes - most recently petit fours. They are tedious, time-consuming, and oh-so-adorable. I really want to make them with green tea flavored cake and white chocolate coating/filling.

Sidenote: As you may have noticed, this post comes about a year after this blog was created. Since I have two other blogs, hopefully this one will stick!

bb dakota dress

Oh, how I loved this dress! Unfortunately, while searching for it I found a skirt made from the same material and snatched it up. I love the skirt, but perhaps would have loved the dress more...
